Gthos appears to be composed largely of Conclusions to discussions which
have occurred orally - of "Secrets" revealed to the initiate in consequence
of  a dialogue.

Let us suppose that GThos 13 (in part) is such a conclusion:

     "Jesus said, 'I am not your Master.  Because you have drunk, you have
become
     intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.'"

Let us suppose, further, that an Orally Transmitted saying of Jesus has been
offered for discussian, such as Jno.4.13-14:

    13Jesus said to her, "Every one who drinks of this water will thirst again, 
    14but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; 
        the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water 
        welling up to eternal life."  

The otherwise obscure selection from GThos suddenly becomes clear!  The
"secret" is that THE INITIATE IS JESUS' EQUAL!  i.e. He has become DIDYMOS -
Jesus' TWIN!

Anybody interested in searching for more "Prompts" to explain GThos?
